Frederick O. Kolker, Jr., age 88, of Brockton, died peacefully May 19, 2015 following a period of failing health. He was the loving husband for 40 years of Anne G. (Keenan) Kolker. Born in Flushing Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick Kolker and Gertrude (Kleist) (Kolker) Lubach, and stepson of the late William Lubach. Fred was raised and educated in Germany, and had served in the German Army’s 18th Panzer Division, and was held as a POW in Russia. During Korea, he served with the US Army and was a driver and aide to General Taylor. He had been a Chef at the Toll House Restaurant in Whitman; an Executive Chef at Eldio’s and Capeway Manor in Brockton, and retired from the Four Quarters Restaurant in Lakeville.
Fred is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Herbert Kolker and Eleanor Geilling, his twin.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 1pm in Calvary Cemetery.
