Obituary

Worcester — Emilia “Sue” (Mucha) Usher, 98, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 17, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. She leaves a daughter Donna B. (Schramm) Dupskey and her husband Stephen J. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband George Frederick Schramm in 1965 and from her husband Donald Usher in 2009. Born in Barre, Ma, she was the daughter of Hilary and Mary (Korczak) Mucha. Emilia was a paralegal for Hiller, Hartwell and Driscoll law firm and she worked at the former Rutland State Hospital in the Dept. of Mental Health as a special needs teacher for more than 20 yrs. She was a long time member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Worcester and was responsible for coordinating all of the church’s social events for many years. She was honored with the title of Miss Worcester many years ago and then Sky Queen on Orchid Day in Barre, Ma. Emilia especially loved flowers and ballroom dancing. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Blair House where she was so lovingly cared for and in her final days, the great care from New England Hospice of Hingham, Ma. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 5-7 pm. at the Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. The funeral service will be at 11am. on Friday, May 22 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Worcester.
