ORLANDO, FL - Thomas J. Griffiths, age 69, a veteran and former Tewksbury businessman, died Sunday, May 17, at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury, after a long illness.
He was born in Somerville, May 29, 1945, a son of the late Herbert and Gertrude (Crowley) Bolduc. He was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1964.
He founded and operated “The Drapery” custom window design shop in Tewksbury, before re-locating the business to Orlando Florida in 1987.
He was a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran.
Tom was known for his skill as an avid golfer, and had served as Treasurer of the Tewksbury Redmen Football Club in the early 80’s.
He leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick T. and Amy R. (Paolilli) Griffiths of Lowell, two grandchildren, Candace M. Griffiths and Conor T. Griffiths both of Lowell; a sister, Maureen Lazzaro and her husband Michael of FL; a brother, Timothy J. Bolduc and his wife Rosanna (Brackett) of FL; a brother-in-law, Richard Post of Tewksbury, who was husband of his late sister Paula E. Post; many nieces, nephews and cousins including Joy N. Hutchins of Revere, MA; his former wife, Donna M. (Gretsky) Griffiths of Tewksbury; and his friends from the morning “breakfast club” in Orlando.
At his request funeral services will be private.
