Thomas L. Abel, 55, passed away Saturday, May 16th at home in the arms of his loving wife.
He leaves his wife of 15 years, Virginia M. Day of Worcester; his mother, Klara Abel; his brother, Gus Abel both of Framingham; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tom Constantine of Worcester; his stepdaughter and her husband, Carissa and Kevin Mailman and their children, Alexia, Camden, Emma and Audrey; his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Nancy Lyman of Brick, NJ and his beloved dog, Oughie.
He was born in Flushing, NY the son of Gustav Abel. Tom spent many years as an Executive Chef in the restaurant business. His years at White Cliffs in Northboro, Sidexho in Westboro and Maxwell Silverman’s of Worcester were among his favorite memories.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Thomas’s name to Tufts Veterinary School, 200 Westboro Road, North Grafton, MA 01536. There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends on Tuesday, June 9th at 1:00 P.M. at Maxwell Silverman's Toolhouse Restaurant, 25 Union Street, Worcester.
