Obituary

FALL RIVER…Helena (Rodrigues) Tripp, 57, of Westport died Saturday, February 26, 2005 after a lengthy illness at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

She was the wife of William D. Tripp and the daughter of the late Zulmiro and Ermelinda (Barboza) Rodrigues. She was born in Fall River and was a life long resident of Westport.

She had been employed as a paralegal and a title examiner for various law firms in the area and prior to her illness had been employed by A.B.C. Floor Covering of Westport. She had also been a poll worker for the Town of Westport. She was a graduate of Westport high school-class of 1965.

Mrs. Tripp was a past president of the Westport Kiwanis Club and a former member of the St. George Women’s Guild of Westport. She was instrumental in assisting several events at the International Association of Fire Chiefs Spouse’s program. She also loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband of almost 35 years she is survived by 1 son: Scott W. Tripp and his wife Amy of Westport; 1 daughter: Kimberley T. Legendre and her husband Brian of Westport; 3 brothers: Antone Rodrigues of Westport, Joseph Rodrigues of Fall River and Francis Rodrigues of Meriden, CT; 2 Sisters: Almerinda “Mena” Tenchara and Beatrice Harrison both of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Melinda E. Tripp, Reaghan E. Tripp and Cason D. Tripp all of Westport; several nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late John, Joaquim, Albert and George Rodrigues.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 9:30 A.M.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.

Calling Hours will be Monday 4-7 P.M.
