Glinda Dianne Leach Whitehead, 61, of Tifton passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at her residence. A private service and burial will be held at a later date for Ms. Whitehead. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Whitehead was born July 2, 1953 in Tifton, the daughter of Willie Cecil Leach and Nellie Allene Archer Leach, both deceased. She was a dental hygienist assistant at Fulp Family Dentistry in Tifton and had formerly worked for Dr. Robert Hill, DDS in Tifton. She was a member of Tifton’s First Presbyterian Church and had lived in Tifton all of her life.
Ms. Whitehead is survived by one son, Clinton Whitehead of Atlanta; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry Cecil and Sharron Leach of Dacula, Willie Carl and Peggy Leach of Delaware, Ohio and Michael Lee Leach of Atlanta; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Ann Buzzard of Albany and Tami Elaine and Dan King of Chula; and her nieces and nephews, Christy Stevens, Evelyn Carver, Ware Bostick and Adams King.
