Owen J. Jackson, of West Roxbury and Dennisport, died Feb. 25 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was 84. Mr. Jackson was born in Boston and lived in West Roxbury for 48 years. He was the son of the late Charles & Lillian ( Kelley) Jackson. He was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran and he worked as an electrical engineer for the MBTA for 41 years. Mr. Jackson was also a Jazz musician.
He was the husband of the late Janet S. (Graham) Jackson. He is survived by his children, Donna McShane of Weymouth, Owen J. Jackson Jr. of Plymouth, and Carol J. Gleason and her husband Lawrence of Walpole. He also leaves his grandchildren, Sandra, Graham, and Kate McShane, Laura Jackson, and Stephanie and Laurie Gleason.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Thursday at 9 am. Funeral mass in St. Theresa’s Church, West Roxbury, at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
