Celia (Gleason) Aubin, 84, of Manchester, died May 15, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on November 13, 1930, she was the daughter of James Benedict and Azelia (Forant) Gleason. She was educated in the local school system and received her nursing degree.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a surgical nurse with the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Manchester for 30 years.
Celia enjoyed Broadway shows and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral for many years. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family, especially travelling to Disney World with her grandchildren and attending their numerous sporting events and music recitals.
She was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid E. Aubin in 2013.
Family members include her sons, Gary Aubin and wife Linda of Merrimack, John Aubin and wife Linda of Bedford; her grandchildren, Melissa Anne Aubin, Stephanie Marie Aubin, Matthew Aubin, Andrea Aubin, and Kaitlyn Aubin; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Wilk of Kennebunk, ME; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Gleason of Manchester; her close friend, Mary Feeney of Manchester; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St. Committal prayers followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
