Obituary

Dr. Boxin Ou, 49, of Franklin, passed away in peace on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Donghong “Cathy” Zeng.

Born in Beijing, China on June 16, 1965, he was the son of Qingxian Ou and Tao Gao of Boston.

Boxin was a resident of Franklin since 2007 and formerly resided in Foxboro.

Boxin was educated in China and earned his PhD from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He was former chief scientist of Brunswick Labs and he also was the co-founder and president of AZMedica and ICT lab.

Dr. Boxin Ou was named one of the “World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds 2014.”

Boxin was a member of the Chinese Gospel Church of Massachusetts in Southborough. He loved reading, thinking, biking, ski, travel. He loved his career, his family and friends. He was kind, bright with wisdom and sense of humor, hardworking and full of innovative spirit.

Boxin will be greatly missed and will be forever remembered and held close in heart, by his family members and friends.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Isaac Zeng Ou of Franklin, a brother Boyi Ou of Texas and his mother-in-law Xiangyun Xu of Boston.

At the request of his family, funeral services will be held privately on Saturday morning, May 23rd at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

Burial will take place at the Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
