Obituary

Robert E. “Buck” Dauley, 59, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 after a long courageous struggle with alcoholism.

Born in Framingham on January 5, 1956, he was the son of Edward A. Dauley of Bellingham and the late June E. (Flood) Dauley.

Buck was a resident of Franklin for most of his life. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1974 and the New England Institute of Technology.

An automotive mechanic by trade, he was owner of the former Buck’s Auto in Medway for many years and had previously worked at General Motors in Framingham for 15 years.

Buck was an INDY and NASCAR fan as well as an avid Boston sports fan.

Besides his father, he is survived by his son Adam Dauley of Bellingham, his daughter Mary-Elizabeth Dauley of Franklin and his grandson Brandon Dauley.

He is also survived by two brothers, Richard Dauley of Framingham and James Dauley of Blackstone, three sisters, Maureen Emond of Clarence Center, NY, Bonnie Hoagland of Hopkinton and Joy Greene of Holliston and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 17 from 2 - 6 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Buck’s memory to the Purrfect Cat Shelter, P.O. Box 548, Medway, MA 02053.
