Diane D. Lussier, 64, of Woonsocket died peacefully Thursday evening April 30, 2015 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond D. Lussier. Ray and Diane were married on June 5, 1971 and shared 44 wonderful years together until Ray passed away on April 8, 2015.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Gerard and Therese (Latour) Brin. She was raised in Manville, attended St. James School and was a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Central Falls. She was a resident of Woonsocket since 1979.
Diane worked as a clerk at the Rhode Island Family Court in Providence from 1969 to 1977. She went on to work as a supervisor for RGIS Corporation for 19 years until her retirement.
Diane was recently very active with committees that planned the Notre Dame Reunion and she enjoyed seeing old classmates and former nuns who taught at both St. James and Notre Dame.
For many years Diane babysat her cousins’ children Danielle and Brett Beauchamp and Craig and Nicole Belhumeur. She was affectionately called Nonnie and cared for them as if they were her own.
Diane is survived by many cousins and was the Godmother to both Melissa Brin and Craig Belhumeur.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Diane and Ray will be laid to rest together in St. James Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
