Jeanne M. Archambault, 92, formerly of Bernon St. Woonsocket died Sunday morning at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the loving wife of the late Henry J. Martin who passed away in 1979 and the late Henry F. Archambault who passed away in 2011.
Born in Drummondville, P.Q. Canada she was a daughter of the late Ovila and Angelina (Cormier) Paulhus. Coming to the United States with her family at six months old she was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Archambault worked in the local textile industry in her early years and was later employed at Berkshire-Hathaway for over 22 years and then AT Cross in Lincoln for over 15 years before retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Archambault was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish and was a member of several area senior citizens groups including St. Joseph, St. Agatha, the Mt. Vernon Forever Young Club and the AARP. Jeanne loved to travel, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, playing bingo, camping trips and ballroom dancing.
She is survived by her sister Yvette Valliquette of Franklin and was the sister of the late Marcel and Roger Paulhus, Rose Ouellette and Dolores Giguere. She is also survived by her step-son Joseph Archambault and his wife, Lori, of Woonsocket and her step-daughter Mary-Ann Johnson of Woonsocket. Additionally she is survived by many nieces and nephews and their famliles.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
