Kenneth Antunes, 68, of New Bedford, formerly of Dartmouth, died Saturday May 9, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Carolyn E. (Houtman) Antunes.
Born in New Haven, CT, the son of the late Frank J. and Julia E. (Soares) Antunes, he lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth for many years.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mr. Antunes was formerly employed at the Dartmouth Mall. A music lover, he also assisted with sound work for many area bands.
He is survived by his children, Frank Antunes and his wife Sue of New Bedford, and Kai Antunes and her fianceé, Christopher Taylor of St. Louis, MO; and a grandson, Avery Taylor.
He was the brother of the late Joseph Antunes.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
