Doris H. (Paul) Houle, 85, of New Bedford died May 9, 2015 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Brightman and the late George Houle.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Gougen) Paul, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Survivors include 3 sons, Kenneth J. Brightman and his wife Sally of Dartmouth, George W. Brightman and his wife Ruby of New Bedford and Donald R. Brightman and his wife Colette of Acushnet; 2 daughters, Paula M. St. Pierre and her husband Raymond of Acushnet and Mary H. Dupuis and her husband Matthew of Westport; 5 brothers, Phillip Cunningham of Arkansas, Vincent Paul of Rhode Island, William Paul of Tennessee, Robert Paul of North Carolina and Timothy Paul of New Bedford; a sister, Patricia Berard of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late David E. Brightman and the sister of the late Joseph Paul, Jr.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 18th, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd, East Freetown, MA 02717.
