Eleanor Volanti, 67 of West Peabody, MA, died Wednesday in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston after a sudden illness. Born in Winthrop, MA, she is the daughter of Rose (Sclafani) Caporale of Boston’s North End and the late Michael Caporale. She was a resident of Peabody for thirty years.
Mrs. Volanti is the beloved wife of the late Morris Volanti. Devoted mother of Frank Volanti of Salem, RoseAnne DeFilippo and her husband Artie of Peabody. Cherished daughter of Rose (Sclafani) of Boston and the late Michael Caporale. Loving grandmother of Michael DeFilippo. Sister of Pauline Gaeta of Revere, Kathy Gambale of Salem and Michael Caporale of Beverly. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 8:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
