Obituary

East Bridgewater - Charles F. “Chuck” Thomas Jr., 55, died unexpectedly Sunday at his home in East Bridgewater.

Born in Brockton, a son of the late Charles F. Sr. and Marjorie (Blanchard) Thomas, he was raised and educated in East Bridgewater.

Mr. Thomas was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School.
He was drafted by the U.S. Army and fought for our country in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Thomas was employed as a truck driver for Little Dryden contractors for the past 10 years.

Prior to that, he was employed with Donroy Trucking Co. of West Bridgewater.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the Commerical Club in East Bridgewater and was an avid motorcyclist.

He is survived by his two sisters, Brenda Mondeau and her husband Roy of West Bridgewater and Sandra Brown of East Bridgewater; his nieces and nephews, Tracy Belmore of Middleboro, Michael Brown of N.H., Frederick Brown III and Loralee Crosgrow, both of East Bridgewater, Jodi Smith of Kingston and Troy Mondeau of San Diego, Calif.; and fourteen great nieces and great-nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St. East Bridgewater, Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. John Church, East Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to East Bridgewater Public Health Nursing Assoc., Inc., P.O. Box 281, East Bridgewater, MA. 02333.
