WORCESTER: Shirley R. (Bates) Ellis, 72, formerly of 27 Mount Vernon St., died Sunday, February 20, 2005, in Autumn Village, 25 Oriol Dr. Her husband, Frank J. Ellis, died August 23, 1989.
She leaves two daughters, Tracy Medina of Newport News, Va., Sherry Cardinal of Richmond, Tx; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Sandra Mayo, a sister, Priscilla E. Beaucage, and a brother, George C. Bates, all predeceased her.
Shirley was born in Westboro, daughter of the late Paul Revere Bates and Bessie (Tracy) Bates. She lived most of her life in Worcester.
There are no calling hours. After cremation, disposition of the ashes will be at the convenience of the family. KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
