Helen Rose (Leduc) Hudon, 83, of Fairhaven passed away Friday May 8, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henri Hudon.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Orien and Ellen (Gaughan) Leduc, she lived in this area all of her life.
Mrs. Hudon was formerly employed as a sales associate the New Bedford Whaling Museum Gift Shop. She also had been a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, Michael Hudon and his wife Sharon and Bruce Hudon and his wife Esther, all of Acushnet, Steven Hudon and his wife Kim of New Bedford, Patricia Gonneville and her husband Richard of Acushnet, and Kathleen Ferreira of New Bedford; ten grandchildren, Jilliane and Jaé Hudon, Heather Ferreira, Elizabeth Bouley, Jeff and Matthew Gonneville, Heidi Conti, Ryan Hudon, and Lauryn and Samuel Ferreira; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was the sister of the late Ethel Turner and Mary Kent.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett, follow by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 5-8 PM.
