Obituary

FOSTER, Richard F. Of Dedham and Pompano Beach, FL, May 9, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Carol Ann (Finnegan) Foster and companion to Shirley Moffat of Ottawa, Canada. Devoted father of Richard F. Jr. and Corrine Foster of Westwood, James C. and Julia Foster of Gloucester, Christine (Foster) White and her companion Ronald Cloutier and the late Danny Ray White of North Attleboro, Brian W. and Karen Foster of North Attleboro, Eileen (Foster) and Michael Flint of Foxboro. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Brother of Ronald Foster of Walpole, Gerald Foster of Plaistow, NH, Eileen Lang of Brockton, and Donald MacGinnis of Medfield, and the late Raye Karen Blanchard of Millis.


He was born in Dedham July 10, 1936 and attended Dedham schools. He joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and served in the Korean War. Retired employee of PanAm Airlines after 33 years as an aircraft mechanic. Member of the Dedham American Legion Post 18. During retirement he worked for Lost Brook Golf Course in Westwood and played golf as often as he could. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and always had a good joke to tell.


Visiting Hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Tuesday, May 12 from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home Wednesday, May 13 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
