Eldon Wilkins Hewey, Jr. 89, of Bellingham, died May 8 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Pulsifer) Hewey who died in 2013.
Born in Springfield, March 13, 1926, the son of Eldon W. and Gladys (Wurm) Hewey, Mr. Hewey had lived in Bellingham since 1966 and previously lived in Waltham.
He was a graduate of Westborough High School.
Mr.Hewey had worked for Corning Diagnostic in Medfield for 20 years before retiring.
He had also owned a printing company in Watertown for many years.
Eldon enjoyed ballroom dancing.
He served in the Army during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal.
He is survived by his children, Marie A. Hewey of Bellingham, Paul M. Hewey of Cumberland, Rhode Island, William J. Hewey of Uxbridge, and Linda G. Horne of Uxbridge.
He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren.
He is the brother of Beverly Kody of Westborough, Donald Hewey of Northborough and the late Marion Fallon.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 13 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:00 followed by a funeral mass in St. Brendan’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
