Paul E. Hardy, of Tewksbury, MA and formerly of Andover, died May 8, 2015 surrounded by his family after a brief but brave struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of Edwin and Anne (McHugh) Hardy and was raised in Dorchester. Paul attended Boston Technical High School and Northeastern University. A business manager and consultant for most of his life, he most recently worked his “retirement” years at Saints Medical Center in Lowell where he had many friends and loved ones. The 99 in Tewksbury was Paul’s “Cheers” where everbody know his name. An only child, Paul’s proudest achievement was his family.
Paul enjoyed reading, history and vacationing at Crescent and Newfound Lakes.
Predeceased by his wife Jeanne (1971), Paul is survived by his six children Karen Baggetta and her husband Nick, children Nicholas and Alex of Methuen; Paul Jr. and his wife Susan, children Steven and Thomas of Newton, MA; Edmund and children Cayman, Kellan and Sean of Wilmington; Alison Aiello and her husband Larry and children Maria, Megan and Joseph of Hampstead, NH; Jessica, Brian both of Haverhill; and former wives Candace Hardy of Santa Fe, NM and Rosemarie Hardy of Haverhill.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
