Jean Paul LaBonte age 85 of Salem, NH, died Saturday at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre, Methuen, MA

He was born in Quebec, Canada, grew up and attended schools in Lawrence, MA. Mr. LaBonte was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 58 years, formerly of Lawrence, MA.

Mr. LaBonte was a construction worker for Joseph J. Flynn Advertising, where he worked for over 29 years. He was a US Army veteran, serving in the 1st Armored Division, 2nd Battalion in World War 2 in North Africa and Italy and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of The Salem VFW Memorial Post 8546 in Salem, NH. He was also an active member of St. Joseph church in Salem, NH, where he was a church usher for 45 years. He was also a member of the AARP, and the Salem Senior Citizens.

He was predeceased by his wife Veronica (Bebirian) LaBonte

He is survived by 1 Daughter:

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.

Calling hours will be held Monday, February 21, 2005 from 4-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
