Obituary

Sadie Vozzella, died peacefully at the Stoneham Life Care Center, in Stoneham, on Wednesday February 16, following a extended illness. The wife of the late Erminio Vozzella, she was 99 years of age.

Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Pauline (Gnerre) and Anthony Di Stasio. Raised in Boston she settled in Medford in 1925, Sadie was devoted to raising her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, most of all she enjoyed shopping in Boston and attending Mass at the Arch St. Shrine.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward Vozzella of Saugus and John Vozzella of Delray Beach, Florida. Two daughters, Lorraine Taranti and Paula Barry both of Medford. Also five loving grandchildren and four loving great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Lomano, Elizabeth Musto, three brothers Nicholas Mercandante, Michael Merconte and Louis DiStasio.

Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Saturday, February 19, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Somerville - Medford at 10. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
