Lakeville – Roberta E. “Robie” Leonard, 95, of Acushnet passed away May 5, 2015 at the Island Terrace Nursing Home.
Ms. Leonard was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Herbert C. and Jennie E. (Wade) Leonard, and resided in Acushnet most of her life. She was a long-time member of the Long Plain United Methodist Church. She was employed as a secretary by the former Continental Screw Company, New Bedford for 40 years. She enjoyed being a member of the Acushnet Historical Society for many years. Most of all, she loved her many cats.

Survivors include her nephew: Terry LeBlanc of California; her good friends: June, Merrell and Mary; and her caregivers: Cathy and David.
She was sister of the late Verna F. Wuorela and sister-in-law of the late Alfred Wuorela.

Funeral services at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
Interment will be in Long Plain Cemetery, Acushnet.
