Obituary

James (Jim) Lee Roth, 69, of Prosser, entered into rest on May 4, 2015 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 16, 1946 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Theophil “Ted” and Irene (Stiller) Roth. Jim graduated from Ione High School in 1964. In February of 1966, he entered the U.S. Navy and served on the USS John C. Calhoun Submarine and the Kittiwake Submarine Rescue Vessel until receiving an honorable discharge in October of 1969.
Jim married Ann Marie Carlson on July 24, 1971 in Libby, Montana and the couple made their home in Prosser in 1981. He worked as a carpenter for the Natt McDougall Company out of Oregon and then at Hanford until his retirement in 2005.
Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he drove to and from school every day and made sure they received everything on their Santa list. As a young man he enjoyed fishing and hunting and later in life spent many hours caring for his lawn and flowers.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann Roth of Prosser; daughter, Amy Ann Roth, grandchildren, Ashley Marie and Mason James of Prosser; his mother, Irene Roth of Clarkston; brother, Tim (Tiffany) Roth and their daughter, Jordan Roth all of Coeur d’Alene; and brother-in-law, Jerry Carlson of Spokane. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Roth and his nephew, Kasey Roth.
At Jim’s request, there will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House. You may leave a message for the family at www.prosserfuneralhome.com
