Remigio Pozzani of Medford died on Sunday, May 3, in the Jean Jugan Residence, Somerville. Born in Gazzo Veronese, Italy, he was the son of the late Cedrino and Angela (Faustini) Pozzani. Remigio came to the US in 1966 and settled in Somerville, where he lived for 30 years before moving to Medford. He was employed as a cabinet maker.
Remigio was the beloved husband of Italia (Mastroppolito) Pozzani, and the devoted father of Elaine Lottfi and her husband Khalid of Somerville, Linda Bendok her husband Brahim, Victor Pozzani and his wife Amy Dattilo, all of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Sofia and Joseph Bendok of Medford, and brother of Giovanna, Evelina, Graziella and Germano, all of Italy. Remigio is also survived by his cousin Gianni Pozzani of Italy, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, May 7 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Catherine of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 6, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
