Sheila B. Farren, 56

Dateline: Shrewsbury, MA

Sheila B. Farren, age 56, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Roslindale, passed away, surrounded by the embracing love of her family, on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Born in Boston, MA on June 8, 1958, she was a loving and devoted daughter of Anne P. (Grady) Farren of Foxboro and the late John J. Farren.
Sheila grew up in Roslindale, was a 1977 graduate of Roslindale High School and attended Northeastern University in Boston.
For the past 35 years, Sheila had been employed as an Administrative Assistant for Verizon. The majority of her career with Verizon was spent in the Boston office and most recently at the companies Framingham location.
A resident of Shrewsbury for the past 10 years, she had lived most of her life in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston. Favorite times spent for Sheila were those amongst family, especially with her cherished nieces and nephews. She was also an avid reader, loved animals, as they did her and was a member of AlphaNet.org.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her dear and devoted sisters and brother: Anne Green and her husband John of Hyde Park, Kathleen Fornaro and her husband John of Mansfield, Tricia Flynn and her husband Frank of Pembroke, Una Healy and her husband Jack of Holliston, Jacqueline Holtzman and her husband Alan of Florida, Joan Dean and her husband Tom of Mansfield and John Farren and his wife Tiffany of Weymouth. She is also survived by her adoring 8 nieces, 5 nephews, as well as several loving aunts and uncles.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 11th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
