Marjorie “Margie” Anderson (Graves) passed away May 3rd at Heights Crossing in Brockton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Seattle, WA, she lived in San Francisco and Beverly Hills, CA as a young girl and later moved to Summit, New Jersey where she attended High School. She later went on to study art at Hood College in Fredericksburg, VA and Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. She lived in Brookline and Brighton, MA before moving to Canton in 1960. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Proctor and Gamble in Boston and as a sales clerk at Northeastern Bookstore. She was an active member of the Canton Community where she was a member of the League of Women’s Voters, a founding member and past president of the Blue Hills Civic Assn, a 16 year member of the Canton Conservation Commission, a member of FISH, and a Museum Docent at the Fuller Art(now Craft) Museum in Brockton. She was also a volunteer for WGBH in Boston and enjoyed entertaining, art, travel, reading, nature walks and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Louis R. Mother of Kenneth Anderson of newton and Sheri Anderson of Easton. Sister of Charles S. Graves of Australia. Grandmother of Suzanna N. Anderson of Newton and Eric, Lyla and Tyler Ingalls of Easton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 6-8 pm. Funeral service at the United Church of Christ Canton Saturday morning at 10:30.
