Annie Virginia Lindsey Taylor, 90, of Lenox passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Earl Justice officiating. Mrs. Taylor will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Adel, Monday, May 4, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 11, 1924 in Lenox, the daughter of W. R. “Bob” Lindsey and Fannie Bell Gray Lindsey, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John E. Taylor; a brother and sister-in-law, J. W. and Mildred Lindsey. She was vice president of Lindsey Plant Company and employed by Dixie Oil Company, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of Dixie Oil Distributing Company and Lenox Enterprise. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one son, John W. Taylor of Marietta; one daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Felix Burton of Barney; three brothers and sisters-in-law, W. F. and Jimmie Lindsey, Wayne Robert and Sandra Lindsey and James D. and Jane Lindsey; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Rachel Burton, Kelly Burton and Brian and Sarah Burton; and four great-grandchildren, AnnaRay Burton, Isaac Burton, Zoe Burton and Levi Burton.
