Obituary

Elneta Harper Hunter, 79, of Valdosta, Georgia, died Monday, February 14, 2005 at her residence.

Funeral services will be at held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla, Georgia, with Elder Joe E. Stansel and Elder Vernon Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunter was born April 18, 1925, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Loranzo William John and Minnie Anderson Harper. She sacrificed her life to many and blessed more with her presence. She was not only a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother but also a devout Christian of the Primitive Baptist faith, a teacher, role model and a rock of strength, but most of all she was as angel on earth. Her words of wisdom touched our lives, her caring love blessed our hearts and for those of us that were graced by her spirit will be changed and blessed for a lifetime.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by her children and their spouses: Patricia & Andy Kroscavage, Brunswick, Mary Findlay, Madison, FL, Larry & Pat Hunter, Valdosta, Martha & Sam Roberts, Brunswick, Anita & Joe Stansel, Valdosta, Pamela Hall, Valdosta, Penny & Mark Pitchford, Atlanta; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; two brothers: Elmer & Joy Harper, Jekyll Island and Hugh & Pat Harper, Conyers; two sisters: Velma Lott, Fitzgerald and Martha & Virgil Towson, Conyers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Hunter, two infant daughters, Deborah Lynn and Diane Hunter, a grandson, Byron Kroscavage and a brother, Felton Harper.
