Mrs. Jessie Clyde Norwood, age 59, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home in Water Valley, Mississippi. She was born on February 15, 1945 in Sledge, Mississippi.
The visitation service will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 PM and will be conducted by Reverend John Ford. The committal service will be held in the First United Pentecostal Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Dennis Hodge, Randy Rodgers, Steven Baker, George Crocker, Donny Crocker, and Christopher Lee Norwood serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Norwood is survived by her husband Lester E. Norwood of Water Valley, MS. The Norwood’s were married on September 12, 1970. Mrs. Norwood was a homemaker. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher in the First United Pentecostal Church of Water Valley, MS.
Mrs. Norwood is also survived by four sisters, Charlene McCammon of Pontotoc, MS, Martha Crowley & Author of Woodland, MS, Debra Swanner & Bruce of Pontotoc, MS and Tami Sullivan & Gary of Houlka, MS; and five brothers, Wayne Wilson & Sherry of Montana, Rodger Wilson & Bobbie of Mantachie, MS, Bobby Wilson & Linda of Houlka, MS, Robert Earl Wilson & Martha of Mantachie, MS, and Tommy Keith Wilson of Pontotoc, MS.
Mrs. Norwood was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Thelma Estelle (Hobson) Wilson and two brothers, Randy Wilson and Terry Wilson.
