SPENCER: Roger W. Archambeault 94, formerly of 94 Chestnut St., died Sunday, April 26 at Christopher House in Worcester.
He was the husband of Blanche C. (Fecteau) Archambeault who died in 2012. He leaves two sons Paul R. Archambeault and his wife Patricia of Spencer and Robert D. Archambeault and his wife Diane of So.Deerfield, two grandchildren Michael Archambeault and his wife Laura of Spencer and Michele Fewell and her husband John of Los Angeles, Calif., two great grandchildren Brooke Elizabeth Archambeault and John Paul Fewell, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Albert Archambeault and a sister Pauline Ingram Klocek.
Roger was a longtime barber and owner of Roger's Barber Shop in E.Brookfield before retiring.
Born in E.Brookfield, he was the son of Eugene and Dora (Giguerre) Archambeault and later served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He was an avid "square dancer" along with his wife and were members of the Hayloft Steppers many years ago. He was a member of Mary,Queen of the Rosary Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the former Fox & Coon Club in Spencer.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 30 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the service on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
