Obituary

Meredith, NH---Sarah Gorman Lindwall Dalzell, born March 1, 1978, died in Boston on Saturday April 25, 2015. Sarah was kind, and compassionate, and loving, and faithful, and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Sarah was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School, Susquehanna University where she earned a degree in Sociology, University of Connecticut School of Social Work where she earned her MSW, and Plymouth State University where she earned her NH Guidance Certification.
Sarah loved her job as the Guidance Counselor at Russell School in Rumney, NH. She had previously provided counseling services for the schools in Rumney, Wentworth, and Holderness, as well as the PSU counseling center, and for Genesis in Laconia, NH. Prior to moving to NH, Sarah worked at The Children's Home in Cromwell, CT, and for Liberty Resources in Philadelphia, PA.
Sarah spent some of the happiest times of her life at Camp Calumet on Lake Ossipee in Freedom, NH, family camping as a kid, eight years in resident camp, working on staff as a teenager and then as an adult directing the Hartford and the Brockton Day Camps, and camping with life long friends in the summer and throughout the year. Sarah met her husband Dave at Calumet when they both worked on staff, and they were married on Jan 6, 2001.
Sarah was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Laconia, NH where her husband Dave serves as Pastor. Previously, Sarah had been baptized, confirmed, and married to Dave, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in East Longmeadow, MA.
Sarah is survived by her husband Dave Dalzell;
by her mother Diane Heaton married to Cliff Heaton;
by her father Eric Lindwall married to Linda Lindwall;
by her sister Andrea Gennaro married to Michael Gennaro, and their son Marten Gennaro;
by her brother Erik Green married to Julie Barber;
by her brother Kurt Green;
by her sister Miruet Heaton;
by her brother Max Heaton;
by nephews Noah Crawford and Ethan Crawford;
by her grandmother Esther Lindwall;
by her grandfather Ralph Johannson;
and by a flock of aunts and uncles and cousins she loved dearly.
Sarah also leaves behind many beloved friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in East Longmeadow, MA, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Funeral service for Sarah will be held at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in East Longmeadow, MA on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 1:00pm.
An interment will take place at Calumet at a future date.
Thank you to everyone who put on their #sneakersforsarah to #chuckcancer for Sarah, and helped to support Sarah over the last two years. Please wear your converse one last time for Sarah, at the calling hours, and at the funeral.
