Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Mark F. Frazier, 29, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington from medical complications.
Born in Gloucester on August 22, 1985, he was the son of Robin L. (Willmonton) Frazier and the late Donald F. Frazier. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Shawn M. Willmonton; his fiancée, Kara Shuffleburg and her daughter, Laura; his "Maine Mom & Dad”, Sheron and Paul Andrews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by his grandmother, Marilyn Gallant and his mentor from Big Brothers, Pete Zumphie.
Mark was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 2004, where he was active with R.O.T.C., theater, band, chorus and the Docksiders. He was also a graduate of Bay State College and received his BS degree in criminal justice from Lincoln Tech. Mark was employed as a security guard for Allied Barton Security, most recently in Wakefield. Previously he had worked for Shaw’s Supermarkets, Coca Cola, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Gloucester Public Schools as a substitute teacher. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Gloucester, where he sang in the choir and served on many boards and committees. He was an Eagle Scout out of Troop #112 of Gloucester and tenor in the Right Mix Barbershop Quartet of Beverly. Mark was a beloved member of the Gloucester community and will be fondly remembered for his selfless kindness and infectious smile.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 1st in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly from 5 – 8 p.m. Mark's funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at the First Baptist Church, 38 Gloucester Ave., Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Performing Arts Boosters, c/o Gloucester High School, 32 Leslie O. Johnson Rd., Gloucester, MA 01930.
