No. Billerica - Frank A. Homer, age 82, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 26, at his daughter's home from natural causes. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Catherine Anne (Cadigan) Homer, who died in 2007.
Frank was born in Boston, April 17, 1933, a son of the late Frank and Ada Homer and was raised in Somerville and Charlestown. He moved to Wilmington in 1969, and then North Billerica in 1976.
He enlisted into the U.S. Navy, and served during the Korean War.
He worked for the Anheuser-Busch company's Cambridge distribution center until retirement. He was a member of the AFL-CIO Teamsters Local 122.
Mr. Homer was a devout Catholic layman, as a communicant of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury and as a member of the Fr. Coppen’s Council, K of C in Tewksbury.
He was remembered as having devoted his life to his family, and was especially proud of the time spent supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities.
He leaves a daughter, Jo-Anne Consaul and her fiancé, Edward Jean of Lowell; three grandchildren, Kevin F. Consaul of Nashua, NH, Jacqueline S. Consaul and her fiancé Walter Brown of Lowell, and Shauna M. Consaul and her fiancé Javi Baez of Lowell; six great grandchildren, Alysa, Isaiah, Madison, Nyla, Lillie, and Kaila; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Barbara Paulk, Dorothy Whitney, and Larry Homer.
Visiting hours Thursday, April 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. His funeral will begin Friday, May 1, at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. Burial with Navy Honors will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
