Ernest Norman Dube of New Bedford passed away on Friday April 24, 2015 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Ellie Dube.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Arthur and Mary L. (Jalbert) Dube, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Dube was a retired New Bedford commercial fisherman of over 40 years. He was a seasonal camper at Maple Park in Wareham since the mid 1970s and continue to love camping until his passing.
He will be sadly missed by friends and family and by his special feline friend Jippy.
Survivors include his wife, Ellie; his daughters, Mary and Suzanne; his sons, Mark and his wife Sharon and Kenneth, his grandchildren, Justin, Jared, and Alisha; his great-grandchildren, Ethan and Madison; his twin brother, Joseph; and his former wife, Dolores Dube.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Dube and his sister, Terry Monte.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 11 AM at the Seamen's Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
