Christine Elizabeth (Schramm) Hinman, 78, of Ledyard died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 48 years, Joe Hinman, predeceased her in 2003.
Christine was born on July 25, 1936 in Mystic, the daughter of Dewey and Gertrude (Pierce) Schramm. She worked for many years in the Cafeteria of Ella Grasso Technical School in Groton. She loved gardening and was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Bruce Hinman and his wife Deborah of IL, Gary Hinman of Washington, and Dewey Hinman and his wife Katherine of Ledyard, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two sons, Michael and Darryl Hinman, as well as her 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Her family would like to thank Dawn McDermott, RN, of Hospice for her good care.
Christine's family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, April 30. 2015, from 6 to 8pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will be private for the family.
