Ted A. Gavriluk, 76, of Swansea, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the husband of Irene L. (Gardella) Gavriluk.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Edward and Eve (Lazowski) Gavriluk, he resided in Westport for many years prior to moving to Swansea. He served in the United States Army with the Military Police. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner/operator of Bay State Trading Co. in Fall River. Mr. Gavriluk was an avid actor and had worked with both the Granite Theatre in Westerly, RI and Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck, RI. He enjoyed the beach, golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors along with his wife include his daughter: Danielle S. Gavriluk of S. Dartmouth; his son: Thomas E. Gavriluk and wife Heather of Westport; a brother: John Gavriluk of FL; 5 grandchildren: Benjamin and Bradley Fitzgerald, Riley, Hannah and James Gavriluk; 8 Great Grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was father of the late Dina T. Fitzgerald and brother of the late Glory Leidner.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be from 9:30 –11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
