Obituary





WORCESTER - Mr. Richard A. Fazio Sr., 85, passed away Friday April 24th at UMASS Hospital.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard A. Fazio Jr. of Worcester, a sister, Ann Marie Berube and her husband Ronald of Northboro, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was born January 13, 1930 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Anthony and Angelina (Incato) Fazio Sr. Loving husband of Grace (Mardirosian) Fazio with whom he lost in 1989.

A lifelong resident of Worcester, Richard was a graduate of Commerce High School. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

Upon his return home, he worked as a welder at Worcester Press Steel for many years. In 1962, Richard was inducted as a police officer to the City of Worcester Police Department and worked for the Police Department up until his retirement in 1995.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt Carmel- St Ann Church in Worcester.

His funeral will take place on Monday April 27th at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Mt Carmel- St Ann Church, Worcester at 10:00am. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 26th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Funeral Home.
