Obituary

Matthew Jagielski, 73, of Fall River died Sunday February 13, 2005 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born in Dorchester, the son of the late Matthew and Blanche (Zmuda) Jagielski, he lived in Fall River for most of his life.

He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church.

Mr. Jagielski was formerly employed as a teacher and adminstrator for the Fall River Public School Department for 38 years until his retirement in 1993.

Mr. Jagielski was a graduate of Providence College. He received his Masters degree from Bridgewater State College and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Boston University.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Polish Men's Club. He was an avid walker.

Survivors include his former wife, Anne Moore; two sons, Thomas Moore Jagielski and his wife Kathleen (Healey) Jagielski of Dighton and Matthew Jagielski II of Fall River; a brother, Edward L. Jagielski of Dartmouth; and a grandson, Brandon Thomas Jagielski.



He was the brother of the late Elaine King.



His Funeral will be held on Wednesday February 16, 2005 at 8 AM from the Maplewood Home of Harrington-Sullivan-O'Rourke-Waring, 986 Plymouth Ave., Fall River, followed by his Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland St., Fall River. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday February 15, 2005 from 4-8 PM.
