Obituary

Maria A. (Hogan) Dufault Aucoin, 60, of Boylston, formerly of Worcester, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at home. She leaves her husband, Paul F. “Okie” Aucoin; 2 daughters, Patricia (Dufault), wife of Scott Blakeney of Sterling and Susan (Dufault), wife of William Hudson of Marlboro; 2 sons, Paul Dufault, husband of Annie of Blackstone and Sgt. William Dufault presently serving in the military police in Iraq, husband of Trisha of Worcester; a brother, Michael Hogan of Worcester; and 7 grandchildren. She also leaves several sisters- and brothers-in law, nephews, nieces, and many special friends.


She was born in Worcester, daughter of John P. and Margaret (Gallivan) Hogan. She was a personal care assistant at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, South 5 Oncology Unit. She also worked for many years at the former Worcester County Hospital, Rutland Heights Hospital, and the VNA Association of Worcester. Maria loved her grandchildren and vacations—especially at her trailer in Wells, Maine.


Funeral services will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester with a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, at St. Joan of Arc, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. Calling hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13 at the funeral home. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the UMass Oncology Dept. or UMass Memorial Hospice, Box 2795, Worcester MA 01613-9938.
