Catherine “Kay” DiMare, 85 of Medford, died Friday April 17, after a brief illness in the Glen Ridge Nursing Care, Medford.
Born in Boston, she lived in Medford for the past 50 years and was formerly of Somerville. She was the daughter of the late Nellie (Franzosa) and John Saladino. Kay was a secretary with John Hancock in Boston for 10 years and then a clerk at the former Knox Brothers Automotive in Somerville for 15 years and retired in 1995. She loved bowling, traveling, horseracing and going to the casinos. Also a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Clement Church for many years.
Beloved wife of the late John DiMare. Devoted mother of Marianne DiMare of Orlando, FL. Cherished sister of John A. Saladino. Also survived by many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday April 24 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
