Obituary

AUBURN – Yevonne (Stein) Reed, 94, formerly of Auburn, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at North Bay Manor in Smithfield, RI. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert F. Reed who died in 1997. She is survived by her son, Robert T. Reed of Medway; two daughters, Susan Reed Spencer of Norton, and Karen E. Lindblom of North Attleboro; two sisters, Betty West of Phoenix, AZ, and Carolyn Naughton of Denver, CO; 4 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bill Stein and Leonard Stein, both of Gypsum, Kansas. She was born on April 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Thomas and Caroline (Krauss) Stein. She graduated from Gypsum High School in Gypsum, Kansas.

Mrs. Reed was a secretary at St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a volunteer for many organizations including Fallon and St. Vincent Hospital. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Church, 194 Oxford St. North, Auburn. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. A calling hour will be held Saturday from 8:15-9:15 a.m. prior to the Mass, at Alfred Roy and Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester.
