Obituary

NATICK: Robert J. Wilson passed away on Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015 at the Wayland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.
He was seventy-nine years old and the devoted husband for twenty-five years of Sandra F. “Sandy” (Nims) Wilson who passed away only twenty days earlier.

Bob was born in 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Ernest & Mary Wilson and he worked as a technician with Honeywell for over fifteen years.

Bob was a very quiet man who just liked to observe things and listen to 1940’s music on his radio. He was a forty-year member of the Foresters of Natick and was the past president of the club. He loved the Chicago Cubs, all New England sports teams and watching the original “War of the Worlds” on TV.

Bob took wonderful care of his beloved wife Sandy through her many years of sickness and continued to “dote” on her. He was the loving father of Penny J. Young of Webster, Lisa L. Zonghi and her husband Rico of Franklin, Helen L. Thomas and her late husband Jeffrey of Southborough, Peggy K. Pignone and her husband Mike of Manassas, Virginia and the late Virginia E. Kenworthy-Treague.

Cherished grandfather of Jayme Bellofatto, Jr. and Chrysta Heafey, both of North Carolina, Alexa Young of Webster, Jake and Kaitlyn Zonghi of Franklin, Austin and Tyler Treague of Gainesville, Virginia, Rebecca and Scott Thomas of Southborough and Samantha and Danny Pignone of Manassas, Virginia. He was the caring brother of Dimple White of Illinois and the late Ernest, Louis & Leland Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob’s funeral will be held from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Linus Church, 119 Hartford St., Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial immediately in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 26th from 2:00-5:00PM in the funeral home.
