Obituary

Raymond D. Lussier, 68, of Woonsocket died Wednesday April 8, 2015 at St. Antoine Residence. He was the loving husband of Diane (Brin) Lussier. They were married on June 5, 1971.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Donat and Rita (Beauchesne) Lussier. He was raised in Manville and resided in Woonsocket since 1979. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy Class of 1964 and earned his degree from Johnson and Wales University in 1966.
Mr. Lussier was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam.
He was employed by Almac’s for over 33 years and later worked for Market Basket in Ashland, MA and RGIS Corp. for a number of years until retiring. Ray also worked as a funeral assistant in his younger years.
Ray was a member of the Alphonse Yelle Post 9 American Legion in Manville and a member of the Green Cappers. He was also a former member of the Manville Sportsmen’s Club. Ray was an avid fisherman, New England sports enthusiast and loved to play video games.
In addition to his wife of 43 years he is survived by several cousins and his goddaughter Melissa Brin.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Antoine Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield. Burial in St. James Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
