Obituary

Peter Rossi passed away on Tuesday at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. He was 65.

Born and raised in Anzano, Italy, he came to the United States with his family at the age of 14 and settled in the North End. Peter graduated from the Wentworth Institute. He was owner of D & R Meat Market on Salem St. in Boston’s North End. Peter had a passion for soccer and played with the Boston Braves and later with the Over the Hill League, Middlesex Juventis. He lived in Somerville and Medford until settling with his family in Lexington, ten years ago. Peter enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family and friends.


The beloved husband of Judith (Spagnuolo) Rossi, he was a devoted father to Peter Rossi, Jr. and his wife Laura of California, Rosanna Rossi and her spouse Emily Perry of Lowell. He was a loving grandfather to Isabella Rossi. The dear son of Domenica (Marciello) Rossi of the North End and the late Antonio, he was a dear brother to Rocco Rossi and his wife Caterina of Arlington, Rosangela Cella and her husband Armando, Maria Krystofolski and her husband Joe, all of Winchester and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday April 25th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
