Obituary

Manchester– Merton L. “Gus” Gustafson, 76 died April 21, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on September 17, 1938 the son of Carl and Frances (Marsh) Gustafson.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Prior to his retirement he was a painter, roofer and most recently a security officer.
He held membership in the Knights of Columbus, Council 92, as well as the League of 1000 Men of the Sisters of the Precious Blood.
He enjoyed, fishing, bingo and reading.
Family members include his loving wife of 34 years, Lucille (Cote) Gustafson of Manchester, one son, Leonard of Berlin, 3 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Ann Tibbetts, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated the following Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel. Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the League of 1000 Men, Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104.
