Obituary

Mr. Joseph (Joe) Daddario, Jr. passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2015 at his home in Uxbridge after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Anne (Tigue) Daddario. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 29, 1937, the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Elda (Scatolini) Daddario. Mr. Daddario had been a long time resident of Franklin before moving to Uxbridge 12 years ago. Mr. Daddario was a Franklin High School graduate, class of 1955, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, class of 1959.

Joe had worked as mechanical engineer for GTE/General Dynamics for 38 years. He was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Uxbridge and Franklin. He was a former baseball player for Franklin High School and Worcester Poly Tech, passing the passion onto his grandson, Matthew. Joe was involved in many town activities through the years, from coaching little league, teaching CCD, playing guitar at Mass, being a member of the Knights of Columbus and being part of St. Rocco’s. Joe was happiest when he was traveling throughout New England, with his family, frequently stopping at antique shops, card playing with his friends and the Saturday lunch dates with his brother and sister.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Daddario of Uxbridge, his son, Joseph Daddario III and his wife Nada of Raynham, and his grandson, Matthew Joseph Daddario. Joe is also survived by his brother Jack Daddario Sr. and his wife Marie of Franklin, and his sister Jean Taddeo and her husband Ronald of Franklin. Joe also leaves behind sister-in-laws: Maureen Ward, of Franklin, Kathleen and her husband Paul Palladini of Yarmouthport. Eileen and her husband Domenic Ranieri, and his brother-in-law John Tigue all of Florida. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Robert (Bob) Ward of Franklin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Friday, April 24, from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery, calling hours will be on Thursday from 4- 8 p.m.
