PELHAM - Karen Clemons Pelham, 40, passed away Monday morning, April 20, 2015 at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Karen was born April 24, 1974 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Orlando, FL three years ago from Jacksonville. She was a member of the 1992 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School and a graduate of the University of Phoenix where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Karen was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Director and Teacher. She loved children and was known for her caring spirit and sincere heart.
She was predeceased by her father, Harold Clemons, father in law, Charlie Pelham, and her grandmother in law, Mary Lastinger.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Bill Pelham of Orlando, FL; two step sons, Hansford Pelham of Mountain Lakes, NJ and Josh Pelham (Natalie) of Jacksonville, FL; her mother, Ginny Clemons of Fernandina Beach, FL; mother in law, Louise Pelham of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Mark Thornton (Dee Dee) of Fernandina Beach, FL; sister, Stacey Dye (Jason), also of Fernandina Beach; sister in law, Mary DiPerna (David); two grandchildren, Aiden and Cameron Pelham; six nephews; a niece; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her cat, Snickie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, at First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach with Rev. Jeff Overton and Dr. Herb Revis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Bosque Bello Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
