Janie M. Tamilio of Wilmington passed away peacefully on April 19, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of James G. Tamilio. Born in Medford she was the daughter of John and Concetta (Belviso) Pellegatti.
Janie was raised and educated in Medford and Woburn and was a 1964 graduate of Woburn High School. She worked for many years as a local real estate broker. She enjoyed traveling and caring for her pet cats. Janie was a devoted wife mother and homemaker and will be greatly missed by those she loved.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Deborah Apgar and her husband Paul of Billerica, and James Tamilio of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Harry and Elizabeth Apgar. Cherished sister of Mary Ann Colombo and her husband Carl of Woburn. Dear friend of Rosemary Flanagan of Tewksbury. Niece of Rose Tranni of Chelmsford. Aunt of Judith Colombo and Michael Colombo both of Woburn.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Thursday, April 23rd, at 12 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
